Course Overview

Entry level programme for students interested in the farming industry and wanting to experience some farm training before committing to work as a general farm worker or continue on to further agricultural study at Level 3.

You will gain an entry level range of skills in agriculture.

How can this course help me?

On completion of this programme, you will have the necessary basic knowledge and skills for working safely in either cattle or dairy industries, with regards to stock handling, fencing and maintenance, and the use of farm vehicles – whilst providing the opportunity to gain credits and work towards NCEA Level 2.

Programme runs 5 days per week for 26 weeks, from 9.00am – 3.00pm with on-farm experience.
